We organize protests and direct actions, coordinated with national coalitions, and local on-the-ground activists in our communities. We connect you with other activists that shows the strength of our movement. Take part and help us speak truth to power!
We all march for different reasons, but we march for the same cause: to defend our rights and our future.
If you believe that decisions about your body should remain yours, that books belong in libraries, not on bonfires, that healthcare is a right, not a privilege for the wealthy; if you believe in the power of free speech and protest to sustain democracy; or if you want an economy that works for the people who power it—then this march is for you.
The People’s March is about one thing: our power.
It’s a bold demonstration of the resilience of resistance:
This is our moment to remind Washington elites — and Americans everywhere — where the power truly lives: with the people.
Let’s make it count.
With the uncertainties of the incoming administration, many of us are seeking ways to take action to protect human rights and environmental justice. That's why Divest Philly is hosting a skill-building workshop on January 25 on Grassroots Lobbying 101.
This workshop will cover how to lobby your elected officials at the local, state, and national level, including how to write letters, make phone calls, and hold meetings with your representatives. These skills can be applied to any cause. David Gibson, Staff Coordinator for Peace, Justice, Sustainability NOW! (PJSN), will facilitate the training.
What: Grassroots Lobbying 101 Workshop
When: Saturday, January 25 at 2:00pm-4:00pm
Where: This is a hybrid event, held in-person at the Independence Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia (18 S. 7th Street) + livestreamed on Zoom
How to Join: Sign up here! When you register you will get the Zoom link as well.
After honing our lobbying skills, we'll hear from representatives from two local campaigns, including Divest Philly, to learn about current action opportunities.
Join us on January 25 to learn how to skill up as an activist and take action locally.
Organized by Divest Philly from the War Machine, a coalition of 29 organizations in Philadelphia advocating to divest Philadelphia's Pension Fund from investments in nuclear weapons.
Sign up for Divest Philly's Lobbying 101 Workshop on January 25!
This workshop will support participants and teams in reflecting, strategizing, and organizing in 2025 and beyond. The approach will incorporate seriousness and rigor but also fun and play, experiential exercises, and a focus on next steps for learning and action.
Some of the possible workshop outcomes include:
· Increased feelings of agency, connection, and active hope

Ride Against War in Gaza (RAW GAZA) will take to the streets on two wheels with a message for Congress: Stop sending US tax dollars to back Israel’s devastation of Gaza and the West Bank.
The 17-day 650-mile urban trek started from Concord, NH on August 24, and is traveling through major East Coast cities and universities, arriving in Washington, DC, by 9/9, the day when Congress convenes.
Bob will be in Philadelphia September 5th and will take part in the Annual Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll
If you are outraged about Gaza, we invite you to come out and meet Bob. Look for the Peace, Justice, Sustainability Banner where we will have a
petition and information on Bob’s ride and the current situation in Israel/Gaza and what people can do about it. We want to stop the violence and the killing and bring home the hostages. On-Line Virtual Lobby Days. SIgn up here We will be lobbying Members of Congress on zoom from 11-4 on July 9th through the 12th, 2024. Our goal is to build Congressional support for taking bold and effective action on nuclear weapons and climate, signing the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) and supporting the creation and negotiations for a Fossil Fuel Treaty which would phase out the burning of fossil fuels.
Members of Congress can show their support by signing the ICAN Pledge, by co-sponsoring the "Warheads to Windmills" bill, H.R. 2775, and H.Res. 77. We are aiming for a "special order hour" on September 26th, the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, during which Members of Congress have an hour to speak on a speak on a specific topic. Thanks for helping with this effort!

Join the Climate Action Campaign and partners for a Climate Solutions Now Earth Day Rally in Philadelphia on April 21st from 1-4pm at Franklin Square as we celebrate the great strides that have been made to combat climate change and the need for continued ambition to tackle the climate crisis.
We will be promoting dual action to save the future from the twin threats of the Climate Emergancy AND the spread and use of nuclaer weapons.
Congress is hearing from the pro-peace, pro-ceasefire majority and it is STILL dragging its feet even as the war continues to claim tens of thousands of Palestinian lives, life-saving aid is impeded, innocent people die from starvation, and the International Court of Justice has warned that urgent and immediate actions must be taken to protect Palestinians from genocide.
This is unacceptable - we must stand up for peace and justice.
