- We advocate for peace and justice, in addition to a safe, sustainable environment, national and international human rights, the goals of the black lives matter movement and other movements for civil and personal rights, including women's rights, and the rights of queer and first people. Most importantly, we believe that everything is connected. The wars our government wages abroad allow and encourage the wars they wage here at home in communities of colors and on the poor. Our purpose is to respect and care for the community of life. We organize members to make a difference by speaking truth to power in our communities, in the streets, and in the halls of power.
- We are allied with prison reform organizations, gun control groups and... Of course ... Members of the peace community throughout Pennsylvania, Florida, and elsewhere as we grow. We are looking forward to expanding our membership to Delaware and Texas.
- We oppose war and conflicts around the world; we work to prevent and end us occupation in the greater middle east, Africa and Asia, war with Russia, China, Iran, Syria and wherever us foreign policy interests bring us into potential conflict.
- We oppose illegal invasions by any country! We oppose the illegal invasion of Ukraine by Russia. We hold the us and NATO accountable for their role in creating conditions that gave Russia the pretext to invade.
- We call for a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.
- We promote nuclear weapons abolition and arms treaties.
- We network with other associate organizations and affiliates and chapters of peace action around the country.
- We do in-district visits with congressional representatives. We participate in congressional education days organized by national peace action and help you to get on message and into the offices of congressional representatives. By Zoom and, when possible, in person.
- We inform with online resources that help you, and all of us, stay informed and active in our government locally, nationally and internationally.
- We organize protests and direct actions, coordinate with national coalitions, and local on-the-ground activists in our communities.
- We connect you with other activists that show the strength of our movement.
We believe,
That protecting the U.S. Means providing for all U.S. Residents; and, that every person has the right to live without the threat of nuclear weapons or endless war.
We believe,
That war is not a suitable response to conflict.
We believe,
Given the right tools, ordinary people, working together, can change the world.
Most importantly, we believe,
That everything is connected. The wars our government wage abroad allow and encourage the wars they wage here at home. In communities of color and on the poor.
We can only do this with the strength of a broad-based, grassroots membership.
Membership gives us financial resources, and direct political power that enables us to stand up to the likes of AIPAC and the NRA, the gun manufacturers, the defense contractors, big oil, big ag and the alt-right.
